Christmas Orders - Last order date 29th November

  Adam will be heading to Antarctica in early December on a photographic commission, returning in January.  Throughout this time print orders can not be despatched.  Therefore, if you would like to order prints as Christmas presents, please place your order by the 29th November at the latest.

Alternatively, local customers can purchase framed and mounted prints at our exhibition at Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Totton near Southampton.  This exhibition runs from 4th December right up to the 5th January.

New Exhibition - Expressions of Nature - Highcliffe Castle

  Adam's latest exhibition 'Expressions of Nature' will be opening at Highcliffe Castle on 25th September and running until 28th October 2007.  Both framed and mounted pictures will be available to purchase at the exhibition.   
       

 

Upcoming Exhibitions

  Adam's popular exhibition 'Natural Moments' has returned to Moors Valley Country Park at very short notice.  The exhibition, which includes brand new pictures taken over the past two months is running at Moors Valley from 16th August through to 16th September.  As well as framed prints, many mounted prints and greeting cards are on display, all of which are for sale.  Entry is free.  Please check the Moors Valley website for opening times.

Natural Moments Exhbition at Moors Valley

  We would like to thank everybody who visited our most recent exhibition at Moors Valley.  Everybody who completed a questionnaire has had their names put into a hat.  Shortly we will be randomly drawing three names out of the hat, each of which will win an 18 x 12 fine art print of their choice.   
       

 

Many new images added to website

  In order to keep the website as fresh as possible we have removed many photographs from the website and replaced them with brand new images.  As well as replacing all the photographs in the latest images gallery, many new pictures have been added directly to the location galleries.  New images have been uploaded for the New Forest, Hampshire, Dorset, Scotland, Canada and Wales galleries.  Please have a look around and let us know your feedback.  
       

 

New Exhibition at Moors Valley Country Park - Natural Moments

March 2007

 
  We are pleased to announce a new solo exhibition at the ever popular Moors Valley Country Park in Dorset.  'Natural Moments' will be Adam's third exhibition in the wonderful visitor centre barn at Moors Valley, and will feature many of Adam's very latest images of the New Forest and Dorset as well as some further afield.  The exhibition will be open from the 17th March - 19th May 2007.  Entry is free.  Please check the Moors Valley website for opening times.

  The April edition of the popular national photography magazine, Photography Monthly features a 10 page article on Dorset written and photographed by Adam.  Adam's image of Mupe Bay also features as the magazine front cover.  
       

 

Winning Picture - Wanderlust Photographer of the Year Competition

January 2007

 
  Adam has been announced as the Grand Prize Winner in the landscape category of the 2007 Wanderlust Travel Photographer of the Year.  Adam's image Rock of Ages was picked from around 4000 entries to win the top prize, judged at the Destinations Travel Show in Earl's Court on Friday 2nd February 2007.  Adam has won a £12000 all inclusive trip for two to Antarctica on a photographic commission, with the competition's joint sponsors Peregrine Adventures.  
       

 

The Fullness of an Empty Land - Exhibition

  The Dolphin Hotel in Southampton are currently hosting a new exhibition 'The Fullness of an Empty Land'. This joint exhibition features the contemporary landscape paintings of Cornish artist Steve Slim as well as Adam's photography. The exhibition runs for the first three months of 2007.

Early Christmas Craft Fair - Southampton University - 19th November

  Adam Burton Photography will once again display at the Christmas craft fair at Southampton University.  If you are looking for unique Christmas presents, come along and visit our stall.  Pictures are available both framed and mounted.  There will be a special one-day show price of £45 for large mounted prints (18 x 12 print, mounted up to 24 x 18).  Additionally, all fine art prints ordered on the day will be entitled to a discount of 25% on the print price.  
       

 

Timecatcher Fine Art Calendar 2007

  The Timecatcher team's very first annual large format poster calendar is now available. For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Timecatcher.com is a photography based website which showcases the work of six emerging landscape photographers from around the world.   As well as Adam, the other team members consist of the founding member Patrick Di Fruscia, Ian Cameron, Jay Patel, Kenneth Kwan and Marc Adamus. The calendar features many favorites from the team from both remote and popular locations around the world. The calendar is available to pre-order now at Calendars.com, priced £13.50.  
       

 

Celebrating our Countryside - Exhibition at Moors Valley Country Park

  Adam has been invited to display in a new joint exhibition at the prestigious Moors Valley Country Park in Dorset.  Featuring the work of several photographers, the exhibition focuses on landscape and nature photography from the south of England.  The exhibition opens on Saturday the 15th July and runs throughout the summer until 3rd September.  Framed prints will be available to purchase.

John Muir Trust Yearbook 2007 - Front Cover Image

  We are honoured to have had one of our photographs selected for the front cover image of next years John Muir Trust yearbook.  The John Muir Trust was formed in 1983 to protect and conserve wild places and to increase awareness and understanding of the value of such places.  The Yearbook, patroned by HRH the Prince of Wales has become a showcase of some of the finest 'wilderness' photography in Britain, demonstrating the infinite variety and ineffable beauty of wild places of the world and its relevance to our lives.  
       

 

New gallery in Hayling Island

New printing services

  Our printing services have recently undergone some improvements to ensure the quality of our prints remain at the highest levels.  To achieve this we now outsource all printing to a professional laboratory who produce extremely high quality prints using a conventional wet tank process.  Sizes have increased also; we now offer two sizes, Medium (12 x 8 inches) and Large (18 x 12 inches).  For details click here

Furthermore, we can now offer many of the images on this site as huge professionally created canvas prints stretched over high quality wooden frames.  Two sizes are available, Large (27 x 18 inches) and Extra Large (34 x 23 inches).  For details click here.
 
       

 

Timecatcher Fine Art Calendar 2007

  Talks are well under way for the publication of a 2007 Timecatcher fine art calendar.  This will be the first calendar released solely featuring the work of the Timecatcher team, of which Adam is an original member.  If you have not yet visitied the Timecatcher website, please take some time to visit and enjoy the breathtaking nature photography on display from some of the finest emerging landscape photographers in the world.  
       

 

Adam invited to Houses of Parliament

April 2006

 
  After winning a national photographic competition Adam was invited to a Parliamentary reception hosted by the competition sponsors TOAST (the charity for obesity awareness).  Adam was presented with a framed print of the winning image by the health minister Caroline Flint.  A picture of the presentation can be viewed here.

  Greeting cards can now be purchased through the website in themed sets each containing 5 cards.  The first three sets are detailed here.  Throughout the year, more sets will become available on the site.  However, if you would like to choose your own set, please look through the gallery and note down 5 images of your choice (note down the ref numbers).  Then email us with your choices and we will be pleased to make a unique set for you.  Prices for a set of 5 cards are £10.00 plus p&p (UK £1.00 per pack, Overseas £3.00 per pack)

Two Christmas craft fairs announced / Exhibition ends

  Adam's solo exhibition 'Inspiring Light' has now closed after a very successful two months at Moors Valley Country Park in Dorset.  We would like to thank everybody who purchased pictures and cards from the exhibition.  For those of you who couldn't be there, there will be two further opportunities to purchase Christmas presents.  Adam will have a stall at the following craft fairs in November.  We hope to see you at these events:

  'Inspiring Light' - Exhibition commences 10th September 2005
